Renovation project management software for Singapore IDs and contractors
It's 9pm and your client wants to know where you are on the kitchen. The photo you sent on Tuesday is somewhere in a long WhatsApp group, and so is the message where they agreed to move the island.
What is renovation project management software?
It's an app that holds everything about one renovation job in one place: the schedule, the site photos, changes to the scope, payments and documents. Spreadsheets and chat groups do part of this. Software built for large construction firms does more than a small team needs.
Synify is built for a firm that runs one to ten jobs at a time. That means an ID or contractor, a client, and a few sub-cons.
What does it fix on a live job?
| What gets said on site | What Synify does about it |
|---|---|
| "Where are we now?" | Timeline. Dated photo updates, plus a schedule with a status for each stage. The client can check without messaging you. |
| "I never agreed to that." | Approvals. The change, the cost and the client's decision are recorded together. |
| "The punch list is on someone's notepad." | Snags. Each defect is raised with a photo and tracked until it is resolved. |
| "How much is still due?" | Payments. Milestones, balance due, GST and retention. |
| "Where's the signed quotation?" | Vault. Contracts, warranties and variation orders. Versioned, so an update doesn't overwrite the old copy. |
| "Can you check this for me?" | Chat. Messages about the job stay with the job. |
A variation order is a written change to the agreed scope, with its price.
How does a job run on Synify?
- Create the project. Add the address and the scope.
- Invite your client and your team. The client's side is free.
- Post as the job moves. Site photos go on the Timeline. Set the stages on the Schedule.
- Log changes as approvals. Add the payment milestones up front so balance due is always visible.
- Close it out. Work the snags to resolved. From Grow you can build the handover pack, before and after photos and a portfolio page from the same job.
For how the money side usually splits, see the payment schedule guide. For what to photograph before work is covered, see the renovation checklist.
What does the client see?
The same four things on their phone: Timeline, chat, vault and approvals. The app works in eight languages, so a client who reads Chinese, Malay or Tamil can follow the job in it. They approve a change in the app instead of replying "ok can" in a chat.
Why not just use WhatsApp?
Keep it for "coming at 9". It's still the quickest way to reach a sub-con.
The trouble comes later, when you need the waterproofing photo from three weeks ago, or the message where the client agreed to the extra cabinet. Messages scroll away. Phones get replaced. People leave groups. A dated record per job is easier to find and easier to point to.
When a job goes sideways, the argument is usually about what was agreed and what was done. CASE logged 962 renovation complaints in 2024. A record settles that faster than memory does.
What does it cost?
| Plan | Price | Active projects |
|---|---|---|
| Free | S$0, no card | 1 |
| Starter | S$9.90 a month | 3 |
| Pro | S$29.90 a month | 10 |
Annual billing gives two months free. Prices as of 20 October 2026.
Every plan includes Timeline, chat, vault, approvals, snags and payment milestones. The paid plans raise the project limit and remove the Synify branding from Grow exports. Your client never pays, on any plan.
Common questions
What software do Singapore interior designers use to run renovation jobs?
Small firms often start with WhatsApp groups and spreadsheets. Synify is a renovation-specific alternative: one record per job with photos, schedule, variation orders, snags, payment milestones and documents. Your first project is free, so you can try it on a live job before you decide.
How much does Synify cost?
Free is S$0 for 1 active project, with no card. Starter is S$9.90 a month for 3 projects. Pro is S$29.90 a month for 10 projects. Annual billing gives two months free. Clients never pay, on any plan.
Does my client have to pay or sign up for something else?
The client's side is free on every plan. You invite them to the project and they see the timeline, chat, vault and approvals for their job.
Can I use it for HDB, condo and commercial jobs?
Yes. Synify isn't tied to a property type. The same record works for an HDB or BTO flat, a condo, a landed home or a commercial fit-out.
Does Synify move money between me and my client?
No. Payments records the milestones, what has been paid and the balance due, including GST and retention. The money still moves between you and your client the way it does today.
Can I bring my team onto a job?
Yes. You can invite colleagues to a project, so photos and updates come from whoever is on site. Plans count the projects you create.
Where is the data kept?
Hosted in Singapore.
What happens when I hit the free project limit?
Your first project stays free. The limit counts active projects, so to run more than one live job at the same time you move to Starter or Pro. Anything already on your account stays as it is.
